McLaren reserve Fornaroli to take part in FP1 in Barcelona

After years of climbing the junior racing ladder and a championship-winning Formula 2 campaign that cemented his status as one of motorsport’s brightest young prospects, Leonardo Fornaroli is finally set to make his official Formula 1 debut this weekend. McLaren has confirmed that its F1reserve driver will take part in Friday’s opening practice session at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix, handing the 21-year-old his first taste of the team’s MCL40, marking a significant milestone in the young Italian’s rapidly developing career.
