Norbert Haug has played down suggestions that the new Mercedes MGP W03 will feature a dramatic design innovation. Mercedes opted to delay the launch of their 2012 challenger until after the first pre-season test of the year in Jerez, in contrast to the rest of Formula One's midfield and front-running teams.
It had been speculated that the unveiling, which will take place on Tuesday, was held back because the team did not want to reveal an innovative piece of technology.
