DRS, curfew rules modified for 2013

In the World Motor Sport Council’s (WMSC) final meeting of the year held in Istanbul on Friday, the governing body declared two significant changes to the sporting regulations for the 2013 season. For safety reasons, use of the Drag Reduction System device has been restricted to the sections of the track assigned as DRS zones for the race. Earlier, the rear-wing mechanism was allowed to be used throughout the course of the circuit during practice and qualifying. Furthermore, the governing body has extended the team personnel curfew from six to eight hours on Thursday night and reduced the exceptions from four to two during the season.
