Alonso wins Wrooom 2013 ice kart race
Fernando Alonso won the Wrooom ice kart race on Friday evening, the event which traditionally brings the week of activities in the Dolomite Mountains to an end. Alonso, who claimed victory in both heats on Madonna di Campiglio's frozen lake, out-raced Ferrari team-mate Felipe Massa to overall honours, while Giancarlo Fisichella completed the podium. Marc Gené, Luca Badoer, plus factory Ducati MotoGP riders Nicky Hayden and Andrea Dovizioso also took part in the unique race. Alonso and Massa will now take a short break before travelling to Ferrari's Maranello factory for the launch of the Italian team's 2013 contender on Friday 1 February.
