Force India mechanic bruised after pit lane accident

A mechanic with the Force India team was hurt after he was involved in an accident in the pit lane on Thursday morning during the pre-season test at Jerez. James Rossiter, the team’s development driver, overshot the braking point as he was about to pit and hit the mechanic holding the front jack, hurtling him into the air. The crew member was rushed to the medical centre where he was reported to be bruised and shaken by the incident, with a team spokesman confirming to Autosport that the mechanic “has been given the all clear”.
