Raikkonen leaves Jerez on top
February 8th, 2013 (F1plus Team).- Now it was the turn for another Lotus driver to lead the time sheets for the day. Kimi Raikkonen beat Jules Bianchi for a very narrow margin today at Jerez in the last day of pre-season testing in this location. Frenchman Bianchi keeps building his case to become a Formula 1 race driver by missing out the best time of the day a mere .025 of a second of the flying Finn. Force India has not yet announced who will partner with Paul di Resta, but they surely are taking today’s performance into account. An interesting day saw first Pedro de la Rosa’s Ferrari caught in fire –apparently because of gearbox failure- which made the fire marshals to come out...
