Guiterrez remains upbeat, despite crashing out of Q1

The first qualifying session of the Australian Grand Prix was marred by heavy rain, which ultimately led to the postponement of the second and third qualifying sessions. This does not affect Sauber driver Esteban Guiterrez however, as he failed to qualify for the next session due to an untimely crash. He will start 18th on the grid after posting a fastest time of 1:47.776. Guiterrez felt sorrow more than anything however, stating: “I feel sorry for the team, we had really good pace in these conditions.” Despite the conditions and his crash, the Mexican driver still managed to remain upbeat and optimistic for Sunday’s race. “I think we need to look forward.
