24 March, 2013 Robert Kubica impressed in his first ERC event Robert Kubica was on course for a debut victory in the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) when he hit trouble on the first run through San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The former Lotus and BMW F1 driver explained, 'It was a shame but unfortunately we were in a high-speed downhill section. It was a quite fast corner but easy flat out. It was not very heavy braking but quite big braking into a third-gear corner.
