Brawn confident over Mercedes upgrades

Ross Brawn is optimistic that Mercedes will be in a position to continue its front-running form at this weekend’s Chinese Grand Prix, with the Brackley-based outfit applying a selection of upgrades to its F1 W04 chassis ahead of the race. Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg finished third and fourth at Sepang last time out, applying pressure on the Red Bull drivers before an intensive phase of fuel-saving. As Shanghai looms, Brawn reckons challenging at the front remains a realistic target. "There's no reason we shouldn't be in that leading group," Team Principal Brawn explained to Sky Sports.
