Rosberg handed fine for pit lane speeding

Nico Rosberg has been given a 600 (£511) fine for speeding in the pit lane during this afternoon's second free practice session at the Shanghai International Circuit, with the Mercedes driver breaking the 60 km/h (37.2 mph) limit by 2.1 km/h (1.3 mph). As outlined in the regulations, a pit lane speed limit of 60km/h is imposed for all practice sessions, before being raised to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) for the remainder of the event. In practice only, drivers are fined 200 (£170) for each km/h over the limit. Rosberg finished the opening day of the Chinese Grand Prix weekend as the fourth fastest driver, having set the pace in the opening 90 minute practice session.
