Sutil believes points finish was possible

Adrian Sutil reckons his race-ending clash with Esteban Gutiérrez in the early stages of the Chinese Grand Prix cost him a points finish, with the Force India driver an unfortunate victim of the Mexican's error of judgement at the final hairpin. As the midfield runners approached Turn 16 on the fifth lap of the race, Gutiérrez lost control under braking and ran straight into the back of Sutil. Both men were forced to retire and the Sauber driver was later hit with a five-place grid penalty for Bahrain. "A very disappointing day for me," said Sutil.
