Interlagos edges closer to long term deal

The Brazilian Grand Prix is edging closer to a long-term deal that will cement its future at the Interlagos circuit. The track had previously come under fire for its below-standard facilities. It is deemed to be one of Formula 1′s most iconic and historic venues but F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone warned the race organisers that it would be scrapped if changes were not made to the circuit's facilities. However Mayor of Sao Paulo, Fernando Haddad, revealed that a letter had been sent to Ecclestone detailing plans.
