Interlagos eyes deal until 2020

Signs that the Brazilian Grand Prix will remain at Interlagos for the foreseeable future are good with the city's mayor saying they are close to signing a new contract. Formula One ringmaster Bernie Ecclestone earlier this month gave Interlagos the hurry up in terms of upgrading the circuit saying:"If Sao Paulo does what they say they are going to do, we don't need to move. They know what the deadline is. If they don't do it pretty soon, it will be gone." However, Sao Paulo's mayor Fernando Haddad insists they are close to signing a new agreement and also revealed they will pump plenty of cash into the track during the upgrading process.
