'Mercedes will be given time'

Despite occasional rumours to the contrary, Toto Wolff insists Daimler will continue to back the Mercedes F1 team - but only if they're fighting at the front. Since purchasing the Brawn GP team at the end of their Championship-winning season in 2009, rumours have done the rounds claiming that parent company Daimler could withdraw their support. However, instead of pulling out, the German car manufacturer has continued to back their Formula One team with Wolff adamant himself and Ross Brawn will have time to turn Mercedes F1 into a winning outfit.
