Race pace remains priority for Mercedes

Managing tyre degradation with Pirelli's Medium and Hard compound allocation remains the focus for Mercedes after Nico Rosberg admitted to experiencing "a lot of graining" throughout Friday's pair of practice sessions at the Circuit de Catalunya. With one-lap pace not a concern for the German and team-mate Lewis Hamilton, who finished the second session comfortably inside the top ten during their Medium tyre runs, the squad will spend this evening attempting to alleviate wear rates.
