Pirelli: It was too aggressive

Pirelli has conceded that the tyre situation got out of hand at the Spanish GP and they are considering changes. Sunday's race at the Circuit de Catalunya featured an incredible 82 pit stops with most drivers stopping four times, including race winner Fernando Alonso. Several drivers have voiced their unhappiness with the tyre situation after the race as they feel the multiple stops are confusing the spectators and taking the shine off F1. Pirelli motorsport director Paul Hembery has admitted that things were over the top in Barcelona and revealed there could be changes afoot.
