Vettel disagrees with Ecclestone's tyre philosophy 21 May, 2013 Bernie Ecclestone with Sebastian Vettel World champion Sebastian Vettel has called on Pirelli to consider a fundamentally different approach to its role as Formula 1 tyre supplier, while the sport's big boss admits demanding ‘short life' tyres from the Italian manufacturer. Tyres has been the buzzwor of the paddock throughout 2013 so far, and the controversy came to a head after Barcelona, when tempers flared over the widespread four-stop strategies.
