United States GP wins prestigious award

"true">The 2012 United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of The Americas picked up the 'Sports Event of the Year' accolade at the SportsBusiness Journal/Daily Business awards, fending off the likes of the 2012 Ryder Cup and the 2012 Stanley Cup Finals. Although there were initial fears over construction, the event was a resounding success with more than 265,000 fans attending the three-day event and drivers talking positively about the challenge of the Hermann Tilke-designed layout.
