Rosberg registers a hat-trick, claims pole in Monaco

Nico Rosberg claimed his third straight pole position and Mercedes’ fourth in a row after he registered the top time during qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix on Saturday. The German clocked a time of 1 minute 13.876 seconds around the sinewy and drying Monte Carlo circuit in a session hit by rain early on. “Could have been a lot easier out there,” Rosberg said referring to the tricky conditions. “It was changing so much.
