Vettel 'very happy' after extending lead

Sebastian Vettel declared himself "very pleased" after finishing runner-up in the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday afternoon, adding 18 vital points to his championship total and significantly outscoring main rivals Kimi Räikkönen and Fernando Alonso. The Red Bull driver, who started third, benefitted from Lewis Hamilton’s misfortune in the opening Safety Car phase to climb up to second position, while Räikkönen clashed with McLaren driver Sergio Pérez and Alonso slipped down the order.
