Bridgestone not interested in F1 return

Bridgestone has become the latest tyre manufacturer to give Formula One the cold shoulder. Pirelli's current contract runs out at the end of this year and, although the Italian company has indicated it wants to stay in the sport, they are yet to sign a new deal. South Korean manufacturer Hankook has already said it is not interested in entering the F1 market next year and now Bridgestone has also confirmed they won't make a comeback. Bridgestone supplied the sport with tyres from 1997 until 2010, but the Japanesse company won't feature in 2014. "We have no current plans to re-enter F1," a Bridgestone spokesperson told Autosport.
