Initial feedback positive on new Pirelli tyres

The initial feedback from the teams on Pirelli’s newly constructed tyres has been positive, after the each driver was allocated two sets of the new Aramide rear construction tyres. Although the opening day of the Canadian Grand Prix began in wet and dreary weather conditions, many drivers were seen completing laps with the unmarked tyres. With Pirelli currently embroiled in what is now being widely dubbed as “test-gate” along with Mercedes, many were eager to see the newly constructed tyres make their official debut around Montreal’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
