Webber tops shortened final practice in Montreal

Mark Webber snatched the fastest time during a damp, delayed and shortened final practice for the Canadian Grand Prix. The session was limited to just 30 minutes after the barrier on the exit of turn 11 was damaged during a Ferrari Challenge support event and needed to be fixed. Under the regulations there is a mandatory two-hour break between final practice and qualifying, meaning the session had to be limited to just 30 minutes to allow the barrier to be fixed and the session to end on time at 11.00. When FP3 did get underway, constant drizzle meant the conditions required intermediate tyres, adding to the frustration for teams and drivers. It did not take long for a dry line to emerge...
