Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel beat Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton to pole position at the Canadian Grand Prix. Finnish novice Valtteri Bottas starred in the Williams to take third in damp conditions ahead of Mercedes' Nico Rosberg and Red Bull's Mark Webber. Vettel's title rivals, Ferrari's Fernando Alonso and Lotus's Kimi Raikkonen, will start sixth and ninth. McLaren's Jenson Button took 14th and Force India's Paul di Resta 17th.
