Alonso and Hamilton spar in Canada
Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton’s battle for second place at the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday was a bit reminiscent of the two drivers’ rivalry when they were paired up at McLaren six years ago. The two fought closely for second place towards the end of the race and even made contact as a result. Thankfully, there was no serious collision between the two and earned significant points and a step on the podium. Alonso charged and ate away Hamilton’s gap and after a few laps trailing the Mercedes, the Ferrari driver made a move at the hairpin on lap 62.
