McLaren ends record points scoring run

McLaren ended its record of scoring points in 64 straight races after it failed to finish in the top ten at the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday. The British team has scored points in every race of the past three seasons, with its last non-scoring race being the 2009 season-finale in Abu Dhabi when Heikki Kovalainen finished 11th and teammate Lewis Hamilton retired early from the race. Ferrari is now next in line to pass the record having finished its 55th consecutive race in the points in Canada. McLaren had won the last three Canadian GPs but this time both its drivers finished a lap down to the leaders. 'It was quite painful out there.
