Allison, Honda link downplayed

Rumours suggesting that James Allison is to join Honda have been downplayed as mystery continues to surround the future of the former Lotus technical director.Allison elected to leave his role with Lotus last month and was replaced by Nick Chester, with speculation linking Allison with a move to either Red Bull, McLaren or Ferrari.Red Bull denied it would be signing Allison earlier this month following a report in the German media that suggested he could seen as a long-term replacement for Adrian Newey.On the back of that denial, Finnish newspaper Turun Sanomat suggested that Allison would in fact be joining Honda to work on a production of a car that could be used to help test its new F1...
