Hollywood movie to feature failed F1 driver character

The success of the ‘Senna’ documentary and the buzz created by Oscar-winning director Ron Howard’s ‘Rush’ has put Formula 1 into the limelight on the big screen. Shooting has reportedly begun for a movie called ‘Hard Drive’ starring John Cusack, who plays a mysterious American thief who arrives in Brisbane, Australia seeking a getaway driver for a heist. The 46-year-old Cusack, best known for his roles in ‘Being John Malkovich’ and ‘Con Air’, stumbles upon a driving school instructor and washed-up F1 racer - played by Thomas Jane - for the job.
