Ross Brawn has revealed that he had the full backing of the Mercedes board throughout the Testgate debacle. The FIA's International Tribunal have reprimanded Mercedes and also banned them from the Young Driver Test after they were found guilty of breaching regulations during their "secret" tyre test with Pirelli. Brawn, whose future at Merc was questioned earlier this year, had admitted in the run-up to the hearing that "it was my decision to do the test, that's a fact". Asked by Sky Sports' The F1 Show if the outcome of the tribunal meant he would now stay on as principal, Brawn replied: "To be honest it's never been discussed, so the situation hasn't changed....
