Brawn: YDT ban will hurt Mercedes

Ross Brawn admitted that the development plans Mercedes had for the rest of the season have been hampered after the team was banned from the young driver test. While rival teams have suggested the punishment Mercedes received for its involvement in the unauthorized Pirelli tyre test was nothing more than a slap on the wrist, Brawn insisted that the ban from the young driver testing session will hurt the Brackley-based team. "We've been looking at the consequences of us missing the young driver test, because we had a pretty comprehensive technical programme planned," Brawn revealed to AUTOSPORT.
