Hembery frustrated but unsurprised by wet weather disruption

Paul Hembery has been left frustrated but unsurprised by the wet weather running that halted teams assessment of the prototype Pirelli tyre. The Italian supplier has originally brought the tyre to give teams a second chance to test the changed compound – the same that was used during the Spanish Grand Prix practice. However it was limited by the wet FP1 and FP2 failed to yield much data either as teams switched focus to their race and qualifying runs. Speaking in a team statement, the Motorsport Director said: 'Because of the rain, it meant that the drivers didn’t get as much running as they would have liked on the two sets of new prototype tyres that we brought here for free...
