Todt warns against knee-jerk reaction

FIA president Jean Todt has warned against making a knee-jerk reaction following the multiple tyre blow outs at the British Grand Prix. Formula One teams and driver have demanded something be done in time for this weekend's race at the Nurburgring, with McLaren boss Martin Whitmarsh keen for an action plan sooner rather than later. Todt has told Pirelli to come up with a solution by the time the Sporting Working Group meets on Wednesday, but said F1 must not make an emotional response to the events on Sunday.
