Ferrari wants answers after slide in performance

Team principal Stefano Domenicali is keen to get to the bottom of Ferrari's lack of performance at the British Grand Prix before the cars hit the track again on Friday in Germany. Fernando Alonso finished third at Silverstone but only after a gritty drive back through the field and problems for other cars including his championship rival Sebastian Vettel, who suffered a gearbox problem that forced him to retire. On Saturday Alonso could qualify no higher than tenth and team principal Stefano Domenicali is keen to get to the root of the problem ahead of this weekend's German Grand Prix.
