Mercedes gained significant advantage after tyre test, say rivals

Mercedes has got an obvious edge following the controversial 1,000 kilometre tyre test at Barcelona, according to its rivals. Since the test, Mercedes has won two of the three races, with Nico Rosberg scoring the most number of points (60) in the period – helped by his two victories. The German is followed by Mark Webber with 45 points while teammate Sebastian Vettel has added 43 to his tally in those three races. “How many had they won before (the test)?' Red Bull team principal Christian Horner asked suggesting that the test had helped its rival.
