Alonso hopes Silverstone was a one-off

Fernando Alonso admits only time will tell if Ferrari's poor display at Silverstone was an exception or the rule. The Scuderia have been pretty consistent this year with Alonso able to mix it with the front-runners during the first seven races to keep himself firmly in the hunt for the Championship. However, they were off the pace at the British Grand Prix the whole weekend and, although the Spaniard managed to finish third at Silverstone, he knows they were not quite up to standard.
