Michael: McLaren ran within Pirelli limits

McLaren sporting director Sam Michael insists that the Woking-based team ran within Pirelli's guidelines throughout the British Grand Prix weekend.The team was amongst those to suffer tyre failures in the Silverstone race, with Sergio Perez the fourth and final driver to suffer a left-rear blowout.It followed an earlier puncture for the Mexican during practice, with Pirelli responding to the various incidents with a lengthy statement on Tuesday that blamed a 'series of different causes' for the problems that emerged.The tyre supplier insisted that a failure to stick to Pirelli's suggested tyre pressures and the use of extreme camber had played a part in the four failures that occurred in...
