Mercedes reign supreme on home soil after practice one with Hamilton on top
Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg have ended the opening practice session ahead of this weekend’s German Grand Prix dominant, with the Silver Arrows roughly one second faster than Mark Webber in the Red Bull who ended up 3rd. Tyres was the major talking point of the session, as the teams ran Pirelli’s revised products.
Only several days after the controversial proceedings around Britain’s legendary Silverstone circuit, the Formula 1 fraternity reconvened at the iconic Nurburgring for the German Grand Prix.
