Vettel 'tried everything' on final Q3 lap

Sebastian Vettel has congratulated rival Lewis Hamilton for his stunning pole lap in today's German Grand Prix qualifying session. The German driver just missed out on a home pole by a tenth of a second and admitted that he 'tried everything.' The triple world champion admitted that he lost time in the first sector which is where he had been struggling. Speaking in a team statement reacting to the grid he said: 'Congratulations to Lewis on pole. It was very tight today, I tried everything. The car felt fine; I was struggling a little bit this afternoon in the first sector, I was losing time there and then trying to catch up.
