Marussia names González, Ellinas for test

Marussia has confirmed that reserve driver Rodolfo González will join current GP3 title leader Tio Ellinas at the Silverstone Young Driver Test which takes place next week. Although the July 17-19 gathering, where Pirelli's new tyre compounds will be used for the first time, now permits the use of race drivers after regulations were relaxed by the FIA, Marussia has decided against running either Jules Bianchi or Max Chilton. Ellinas, who secured his outing at the test by finishing as the highest placed Marussia driver in last year's GP3 standings, will kick-off the team's programme on Wednesday July 17, before González – on the back of three FP1 drives – enjoys the final two days.
