Crackdown on media access continues

FOM has followed in the FIA's footsteps by cracking down on access to the pit lane during Formula One races. Motor sport's governing body confirmed on Tuesday that it would tighten access to the pit lane during races with team personnel and marshals the only ones being given access. The sport's commercial rights holder has now followed suit and confirmed that camera crews and broadcast personnel will be banned during all sessions. The move comes after FOM cameraman Paul Allen was injured when a wheel that came loose from Mark Webber's car went flying through the air and knocked him down during Sunday's German Grand Prix.
