Symonds leaves Marussia for Williams; Coughlan steps down

Marussia technical consultant Pat Symonds has left the team with immediate effect ahead of joining Williams on August 19th as the team's chief technical officer. Symonds, who played a part in the infamous ‘Crashgate' saga in 2009, joined Marussia over two years ago as part of the team's bid to move up the grid. This morning, it was confirmed that they will be using Ferrari engines from 2014 onwards, marking a significant step forward for Marussia, although Symonds' departure may not be so well received.
