Romain Grosjean avoids potential exclusion after floor irregularity

Romain Grosjean has been able to retain his 3rd position on the grid for tomorrow’s Hungarian Grand Prix, after the Frenchman was referred to the race stewards after failing a front floor deflection test during post-qualifying scrutineering. However, it was later discovered that the floor was damaged by a kerb at Turn 11 during Q2. After a competitive display of pace from Romain Grosjean during qualifying for the 70-lap Hungarian Grand Prix, the former GP2 Champion found himself in 3rd position on the grid alongside Nico Rosberg in the Mercedes and behind Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel.
