Max Chilton – 'The hardest race of my career”

Max Chilton has described his drive at the Hungarian Grand Prix as the most difficult of his career after suffering with tyre problems all race long in his Marussia. Chilton, who started 22nd on the grid, struggled throughout the race with a lack of balance on the medium compound Pirelli tyres, which in turn led to problems with degradation in the high heat in Hungary as he fought to keep in touch with his team-mate Jules Bianchi and the Caterhams ahead. He would ultimately finish the race in 17th and last of the classified runners. “A really tough day today for the whole team and easily the hardest race of my career”, said the Briton.
