VIDEO: Mercedes gives 2014 engine insight

The Mercedes AMG Petronas team has released audio of its new-for-2012 F1 engine as it continues to develop the unit ahead of its competition debut next season.The unique insight came via the team's official YouTube channel, and saw the soundtrack accompany a simulated lap of the Monza circuit which will play host to the Italian Grand Prix next month.The audio recording of the turbocharged V6 unit was conducted using a development engine at Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP) in Brixworth in the UK, and was then to a lap of the circuit at the team's 'driver-in-the-loop' simulator at team HQ in Brackley.
