Schumacher Benetton in early sale

The car in which seven-time Michael Schumacher scored his first points in F1 has sold to a private buyer ahead of its scheduled appearance in an auction later this weekend.The 1991 Benetton B191-Ford Cosworth, which Schumacher drove to fifth place at Monza, having replaced Roberto Moreno as team-mate to Nelson Piquet, was due to go under the hammer in a COYS' sale at the Nurburgring on 10 August.However, the car has now been sold in advance to a private buyer for a fee of 225,000 plus premium.While the car – which was offered in 'excellent race-ready condition' and with 'all equipment necessary to run and drive the car, including a spare set of wheels and assorted spare components' –...
