Marussia sporting director Graeme Lowdon has hailed the team's 2014 engine deal with Ferrari saying it gives them reason to be "quietly optimistic".
With Formula One switching from the current 2.4-litre V8s to the 1.6-litre turbocharged V6s in 2014, Marussia will swap their Cosworth engines for Ferrari power units next year.
Marussia, who finished 12th in the first two seasons and then 11th last year, are confident they take a "huge step" forward next year.
