Caterham have confirmed that Heikki Kovalainen will complete two more free practice sessions for the team this year. Kovalainen is scheduled to return to the wheel of the CT03 for the opening 90-minute free practice session this weekend at Spa, in the place of Charles Pic, and will be back in the car for Monza, this time in the place of Giedo van der Garde.
The Finn was originally dropped by Caterham for 2013, but following a difficult start to the season the team recalled the 31-year-old, running him in Free Practice 1 in both Bahrain and Spain, with the hope that the former Renault and Mclaren man's experience could assist in the development of the troublesome CT03.
