'Ferrari spat a misunderstanding'

Fernando Alonso says the public rebuke he received from Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo was due to a misunderstanding that has been resolved. In a statement, following a disappointing Hungarian Grand Prix, Ferrari said that di Montezemolo had tweaked the Spaniard's ear after the two-time Champion had joked with Italian reporters that he wanted a more competitive car for his birthday. But on the eve of this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix, Alonso said: "I think it was wrong information coming to the president.... "We looked back to all the press conferences -- these days with recorders etcetera, you know, it's easy to check exactly what you say -- and it was nothing different...
