No passive-DRS for Lotus

Lotus will not run their passive-DRS device during the qualifying or the race at Spa-Francorchamps.The team have been experimenting with what they refer to as 'the device' for over a year now, but are yet to get it to run consistently and predictably. Lotus tested the device during Practice One in Belgium, but it was removed from the cars for the afternoon session and the team have now cited a lack of dry running for their decision. "We are still trying to develop very hard to give ourselves a very competitive run to the end of the year," Technical Director Nick Chester said in the FIA Press Conference.
