17-year-old Sirotkin signs 2014 Sauber contract

Sergey Sirotkin will reportedly race for the Sauber Formula 1 team next season after confirming reports he has signed a contract with the Swiss team. The 17-year-old, who turns 18 on Sunday, will become the youngest ever F1 driver should he start the season with Sauber in 2014 as is claimed. "I'm a Sauber driver in Formula One for 2014! Thank you all for your congratulations," he wrote on Russian social network Vkontakte. Whilst the team are yet to confirm the deal, it's believed it is a crucial condition of their investment deal which is being provided by three Russian companies.
